DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

NON-VOTING POSITION

  • Communicates with the public regarding Level 1 clinic opportunities.

  • Maintains a list of individuals interested in the Level 1 clinic.

  • Schedules and coordinates Level 1 clinics (including advertising, communication, venue, coordinating theory and practical clinics and associated clinicians and evaluators, etc.).

  • Coordinates practical evaluation events with the Officials Assignment Coordinator and the appropriate school.

  • Prepares online test registration and results collection.

  • Creates practical evaluation schedules.

  • Communicates with candidates regarding their progress.

  • Manages registrations for Level 1 clinics with the assistance of Volleyball Alberta.

  • Manages the finances for Level 1 clinics, working with the Treasurer.

  • Recommends referees for advancement.

  • Upon request of ZOC or President, coordinates individual development support for referee’s.

  • Provides information, upon request, for the executive board that details development activities. 

  • The Development Coordinator may need to front development costs (such as bookings and materials) and be reimbursed during regular payouts.

  • Attends all zone annual general meetings.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
